Hipcamp founder Alyssa Ravasio transformed fragmented camping into a marketplace connecting millions of campers with over half a million locations across public and private land. Starting as a search engine in 2013, she pivoted to private land when realizing public campgrounds couldn't meet demand, creating a new category that now generates millions of bookings while protecting rural economies and conservation land. Alyssa learned at early jobs that ignoring her instincts about the right approach killed her motivation, driving her to start Hipcamp at 23 to run things her way.
