A widow vanishes in a web of secrets: Talena Galloway went missing in 2020 during early COVID days, and her friends' search uncovered a grisly homicide and a roommate's hidden past. Dateline's Josh Mankiewicz investigates. Talena Galloway's body was found in a freezer in Arkansas nine months after she vanished, and a medical examiner ruled her death a homicide. Investigators linked the case to Corey Bommely through a freezer sticker, a plate number, and a property she tried to buy, which led to a plea of no contest. Corey Bommely was convicted in Wisconsin of attempting to poison her neighbors with ricin, a deadly toxin she had allegedly made from castor beans. Online sleuths formed 'Talena's Army' and helped spark national attention, but investigators said theories without evidence rarely solve cases.
