In March 1989, University of Texas student Mark Kilroy was kidnapped by a drug cult in Matamoros, Mexico and ritually murdered as a sacrifice. When authorities raided the ranch, they discovered 14 bodies and a horrifying operation led by charismatic con man Adolfo Constanzo, who used perverse religious beliefs to manipulate followers into committing unimaginable violence. Adolfo Constanzo exploited superstition and twisted Palo Mayombe religion to manipulate drug smugglers into believing human sacrifice would grant them power and protection, resulting in at least 15 confirmed murders between 1988-1989.
